Stealing

It is hardly stealing when the heart in question 

Leaped into my pocket.  

True enough, I knew it was there when I left the store.  

A payment deferred will carry interest. 

Is the cost worth the value? Nothing is free anymore.  

The thing is I didn't know I was shopping, 

Or that the heart in question was greatly reduced for quick sale.

Surely intention carries some protection from the law.

At worst a misdemeanor, at best a fine.

I'm prepared to do service in repayment for my crime.
